BEVERLY MARLENE STOKES

It is with heavy hearts that the family of

Beverly Marlene Stokes announce her sudden but peaceful passing on April 22, 2016 at the age of 80 years, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

She leaves behind her children Mark Stokes (Kim Krastel), Lori Stokes, grandchildren Daina, Denise, ron, and 4 great grandchildren Ethan, Koen, Kayla and Avery. Pre-deceased by her parents Frank and Irene Wallace, her brothers Len (Al) and Ed Wallance, she leaves behind to mourn, her siblings Gord Wallace, Marg, and Bob, many aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.

Bev’s passion was always taking care of others and she spent many years volunteering at the Gorge Road Hospital in the extended care unit. She always looked forward to going in and looking after her patients and had many friends. She eventually retired and moved to Parksville where she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandson Ron. She loved animals and always fed the neighbourhood wildlife.

Many thanks to Dr. Joe at the cancer clinic in Jubilee Hospital and all the caregivers at Saanich Peninsula Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.

Upon request, there is to be no service.
