In loving memory ~

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our deeply loved Uncle Evil. After a tough battle with cancer, Brad passed peacefully at Trillium Palliative Care with his beloved Maria by his side.

Brad, a proud third generation Islander, grew up in Parksville and briefly in Port Alberni. He moved to the lower mainland as a young adult and began his lifelong career as an RV Wizard. Brad met Maria at SFU pub night on August 1st 1987 which was the beginning of their 37 years together, inseparable and in love. Brad and Maria moved back to Vancouver Island in 1999.

Brad loved their small acreage in Coombs where he lived and worked. He enjoyed music, motorcycles, bicycles, cooking, darts, cats (don't tell anyone) and especially laughing with friends and family. Brad was always the funniest guy in the room and if he was teasing you, you knew that you had made it through his tough exterior and that he cared about you. He had extraordinary talent and knowledge. He was generous and shared his knowledge with anyone who needed his expertise and advice. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones, his clients and really anyone whose life intersected with his.

Brad is survived by the love of his life, Maria Yerema, his mom, Charmian Dunaway (Blaine), sister Andrea Riegert (Mike), nephews Tyrel Riegert (Mirah) and Mikail Riegert (Claire), brother-in-law David Yerema (Rasa), nephew Samuel Yerema and niece Emma Yerema, and brother-in-law Brian Riegert (Sherry) and too many to name life-long and recent friends.
