Brian Ross Ball

Nov. 14, 1946 - April 2, 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brian at his home in the early morning hours of April 2, 2016.

Brian was born in Vancouver but lived most of his life on Vancouver Island in various communities where employment opportunities took him. He worked for many years as a faller for M & B. Later in his working career Brian was a successful automotive salesman and a self employed business man prior to his retirement in 2010.

Always active in his community, Brian was a member of the Concord Masonic Lodge in Parksville, the Shriners, and a leading member and president of P.G.O.S.A., a club which encourages recreational activities for seniors. Brian also spent endless hours successfully researching his family genealogy.

Brian took delight in spending time and humouring his family members and friends with his antics and his wonderful sense of humour. He will be sadly missed at family gatherings. Brian also loved to fish and play various sports but his greatest delight was spending time with his grand and great grandchildren who he adored with all his heart.

Brian is survived by his loving wife Marsha, sons William and Shawn, daughter Lori, 3 siblings Randy, Debbie and Keith, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, and his faithful sidekick Buddy. He was predeceased by his son James, his infant son Alex, brother Gary and his parents Edmund and Jackie Ball.

A service will be held at 1:00 Saturday 09 April 2016 at the St. Ann’s and St. Edmunds Anglican Church at 407 Wembly Rd. in Parksville with a reception to follow.

Donations in Brian’s memory may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 3350 Wayburne Drive, Burnaby B.C. V5G 3K9
