Bruce passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 9, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jane; sons, Bob and Dave; daughters, Kathy and Barbara; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Born in Vancouver, he attended Simon Fraser Elementary School and King Edward High School. Bruce joined the firm of Johnson-Walton, Reed Steinhouse, Aon Insurance of Vancouver in 1951. He and Jane relocated to Qualicum Beach when Bruce retired in 1991.
Bruce enjoyed sailing and golf. He was a volunteer for the BC Red Cross Society for 15 years, serving as President for two years of those years.
In keeping with Bruce's wishes, no services will be held. Those wishing to honour his memory may do so by making a donation to the BC Lung Association, the BC Cancer Foundation, or a charity of your choosing.
