April 16, 1963 - January 7, 2021
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruno Joseph Gagne (April 16, 1963 to January 7, 2021). He is predeceased by his mother Noella Jean and survived by his loving wife, Julie Imbach, his children Erica (and her partner Julian) in Calgary and Jonah in Vancouver, and his pets, Cuddles, Lily, and Luna.
Bruno met Julie in Calgary and was embraced by her family including her father Jeff and his wife Joy, and Julie's sister Nikki, her husband Paul and their children Callum and Rylan.
Together Bruno and Julie raised their two children, Erica and Jonah. He was a steadfast, loyal, and beloved father.
He also had a strong bond with his nephews, Callum and Rylan, and will be fondly remembered for spending time building forts, going crab fishing and taking them on trips to the dollar store.
The depth of our grief echoes the greatness of the gift. Bruno was a kind, gentle man of few words, but his big heart was evident in the way he cared for those around him, including his family and his pets. He enjoyed geocaching and spending many hours in the outdoors hiking and picking berries. He also enjoyed playing golf and pool with friends.
Bruno grew up in Price, Quebec. At 18 he joined the Canadian Armed Forces and moved out west. He had a brilliant mind for computers and electronics and following his time in the military he worked at the Calgary Drop In and Rehab Centre where he managed the IT/Security department as well as the education and career/job placement programs.
