Our dear father Cal went home to be with Jesus on Friday, July 16 at 4:30 pm. His passing to his eternal home was peaceful, surrounded by the loving words, prayers and kisses of his children. We had just celebrated his 88th birthday three days earlier with a glass of red wine. He joins Eileene, the love of his life, and numerous loved ones that have passed away before him. Cal was a man of integrity who treated everyone with dignity and respect. From his early years in Engineering at the University of Oklahoma, to his long and successful career in the oil business in Calgary, Cal was respected by everyone he came across. His love for God and his fellow man was a good example for all of us who knew him. Left behind to miss Cal is his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Cliff Inskip, son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Cher Franke, grandchildren, Heather and Daniel Inskip, Crystal-Anne Cram and Matthew Franke. He is also survived by his sister Francis and nieces Marilyn Wilson and Myrna Franke. The family wishes to express our sincere thanks to Dr. S. Noble and the assisted living staff at Stanford Place in Parksville, the 4th floor staff, the exquisite care of the MEDO and the Palliative Care units at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for their kindness, sensitivity and wonderful dignified care that was given to our dad.

Memorials will be held with the family in Qualicum Beach, BC and at a later date in Calgary, AB. Condolences may be emailed to Yates at: bev@yatesfuneral.ca
