Carol Louise RANSOM

March 6, 1943 ~ December 28, 2015

Carol passed away at home on the afternoon of Monday, December 28, 2015 after many years of health issues. She was 72 years old. Carol was born in Ponoka, Alberta and lived most of her life in Alberta until moving to Parksville in 2003. She enjoyed living by the ocean, doing her many crafts, and spending quality retirement time with her husband, Gerry. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Bernice and Leo Russell and her first husband, Daryl Thompson.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 36 years, Gerald (Gerry) Ransom; children, Tracey Thompson (Don Lutz), Jay Thompson (Rica), and Tami Thompson; grandkids, Carmela (Felipe) Flores and Nate Ladouceur; great grandkids, Tristan, Avery and Dominic. She is also survived by her aunt, Audrey (Harold) Pridy.

A small Memorial Service was held in Parksville for the family on January 2, 2016.

The family wishes to express a very special thank you to all the emergency personnel that helped on December 28. They did an amazing job with the utmost compassion and kindness. We would also like to thank the staff Yates Funeral Service for the caring and compassionate way we were treated and Major Hamlin of the Salvation Army for his help during this difficult time.
