was as born in Vancouver March 26, 1947 and passed away in Kailua Hawaii, on February 14, 2012.
She spent her final days surrounded by her loving family and the dedicated medical team at Castle Medical Center.
Carol grew up in Vancouver, attending school at Van Tech. In 1967 she met her husband Garry, remaining happily married for over 43 years. After raising her family, Carol decided to develop her talent for cooking. She returned to school study culinary arts and worked as a Chef for the renowned Cannery Restaurant.
Carol and Garry fulfilled their retirement dream of building and operating Gull Cottage B&B in Tofino. Finally settling down in Qualicum, Carol found her perfect view. Carol could often be found enjoying time in the garden, playing crib and being chef & host to friends and family.
Carol is survived by her husband Garry Nelson Richens, son Ryan, daughter Cari (Calvin) and twin grandchildren Addison and Kennedy. She also leaves behind her brother Richard Wood (Sandra).She will be dearly missed by all.
