Carolyn Butterworth, a long time resident of Parksville, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, August 3. Carolyn Butterworth was born in Beljennie, Saskatchewan where she lived with her parents and four siblings until she was six. Carol then moved with her family to Port Alberni where she spent the rest of her childhood.
Carol married Gordon Butterworth in 1959 in Port Alberni. The couple had two children, a daughter named Debra and a son named Grant. Carol and Gordon spent many years in Port Hardy raising their family. Their final move was to Parksville in 1989.
Carol enjoyed shopping, traveling and attending Red Hatter functions. Her family was very important to her and she was always baking a dessert to bring to a family dinner. Carol is predeceased by her husband Gordon. She is survived by her daughter, son, and three grandchildren., Carolyn will be sorely missed by both her family and friends.
