Carolyn slipped away peacefully on Thursday, March 28th at Trillium Lodge in Parksville.
She is survived by her brother, Lock Mitchell; niece, Brynn Mitchell; and many extended family members and close friends.
A vivacious, fun loving person, Carolyn was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Parksville, the Red Hat Society, and Branch #49 of the Royal Canadian Legion where she could be found happily dancing her Wednesday evenings away whenever she was able and served on the Ladies Auxiliary.
Carolyn faced whatever challenges came her way with tenacity and she lived life to the fullest right to the end.
Friends are invited to join her family in Celebration of her Life on Saturday, May 4th at the RCL Branch #49 in Parksville between 1:00 and 4:00 pm. Bring memories to share and be prepared to enjoy some good old-fashioned country music in her honour. In lieu of flowers, please consider honouring Carolyn's memory by making a donation in her name to Branch #49 of the RCL.
