Ann passed away peacefully early Sunday morning at NRGH.
Ann was predeceased by her parents and her older
brother. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill and her children Laura, Dan (Roxanne) and Richard (Adele) and her three grandchildren
Allena Bergen (Chris), Graham and Nicholas.
Ann was born and grew up in North Vancouver. She began her career as a young woman with the Vancouver Sun. In 1959 she married Bill and they moved to Victoria. Ann and Bill lived in Port Alberni for three years and then moved to Parksville. They have been long time residents of the Parksville/Qualicum area ever since.
When her children started Junior High School,
Ann went back to work as a book-keeper for the local
newspapers and Island Optical Lab in Parksville. Ann had many friends and was loved by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank Dr. Desai
and the staff at NRGH.
There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate Ann’s life on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 2:00pm at St. Stephen’s United Church in Qualicum Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation.
