Passed away peacefully at Qualicum Beach on March 19th, 2010 surrounded by her family.
Cathy was born in Leduc, Alberta on November 10th, 1931, and she moved to Port Alberni at a young age with her family. An employee of Woodward’s in the early 50’s, she was also an accomplished performer who was part of many local musical productions. She was also bitten by the travel bug, spending many winter vacations in Hawaii and Palm Springs, and enjoying cruises to Alaska and the Panama Canal.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Stan. Children Bruce (Elaine), Steve (Bonnie) of Port Alberni, Cathy Balogh (Ray) of Deep Bay & Rob (Tara) or Duncan. Also 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces & nephews. Also Mr. Bugs II her cat.
The family would like to thank the staff of Eagle Park in Qualicum Beach for making her comfortable in her last days.
