Benjamin Francis

May 16, 1961 – Nov.17, 2006

Goodbye to a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.

On Friday, November 17, 2006 a perfect rainbow appeared and arched over the glistening waters ofQualicum Beach as Chuck peacefully passed away.  To those gathered by his bedside it was as if God was opening the gates to Heaven and welcoming Chuck home.

Highly respected for his integrity, dedication to family, goals and a solid work ethic, Chuck incorporated his Christian principles that came from a personal relationship with his Lord, with a sound business philosophy.  Never seeking the limelight, Chuck owned and operated a number of successful businesses.  In addition to his Executive responsibilities Chuck also dedicated his time, energy and expertise to projects, often working behind the scenes, to achieve common goals that benefited the broader community, a rare attribute that will always be remembered.

Chuck will be lovingly remembered by Cathy, his devoted wife, partner and best friend of 21 years, and by his two beautiful and loving daughters Stephanie and Anna.  Also his loving parents John and Bernice Francis, sister and brother in law Grace and Courtland Carbol as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and other family members.

A very special thank you to Dr. Martins and the staff of the BC Cancer Agency in Victoria along with Dr. Fletcher and the other excellent and caring health care professionals in Qualicum Beach, not to mention numerous friends and family, for all their support, prayers and loving care.

On Friday, November 24, 2006 at 5 p.m. a service celebrating and honouring Chuck’s life will be held at Glad Tidings Church, 1800 Quadra St. inVictoria, B.C.  Pastor Ron Michalski will officiate with a Reception to follow.

Interment will be held in Qualicum Beach on the morning of Friday November 24, 2006for the family and close friends.
