KERR, Charles
Passed away May 16th 2005.
Born in N.B. 1921
Predeceased by son Terry. Charley is survived by his wife Betty (nee Beck); son Randy; daughters, Gloria McDormand, Cheryl James
(Andrew), Donna McEwen (Glenn); sister Mona of N.B.
Charley joined the Air Force in 1942 making it his career until 1969.
After retiring he became a security guard at the Parliament building, museum and various other sites. Retiring once more he moved to
Qualicum Beach in 1982.
There Charley started his hobby of carving, making many large carvings. He was a well known figure, carving on the beach and riding his
scooter along the sea wall. Charley also loved horse back riding for many years. He was a Member of the Knights of Columbus. Also a
member of the church choir. Charley will be sadly missed by his family and the many friends he has made over the years.
Church services will be held at The Church of Ascension in Parksville
887 Wembley Road, May 24th at 10.30 am followed by a reception in the church hall.
Cremation.
No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Diabetes foundation or society of your choice.
