Born October 5, 1958, in Port Alberni, Cheryl set herself free from her body’s battle with cancer on March 8, 2012 in the Palliative Care Unit of Nanaimo Regional Hospital.

Cheryl was predeceased by her father and mother, Andy and Isobel Paul. She is survived by her partner Efren; daughters Christine (Ryan); Adrianne (Iain); Kathleen (Jimi); grandchildren Kailyn, Fraser, Brayden and Frank; sister Lynne (Maurice) and brother George (Patti); nephews Michael (Bryn) and Kevin (Nada); Nieces Erin and Heather; grandniece Emily; grandnephews Drew and Hayden; as well as numerous other close relatives who all loved her so very much. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

The family extends an invitation to all of Cheryl’s friends to join us in a celebration of her life on Sunday March 25, 2012 at 1:00pm at the Nanoose Bay Library Hall, 2489 Nanoose Road at the corner of North West Bay Rd.

Her celebration is a casual affair involving the sharing of stories followed by informal conversation. For those wishing to speak or unable to attend the event and wishing to share thoughts or condolences please email: rememberingCheryl@shaw.ca.

The family cannot adequately express its gratitude to Dr. Robin Love, the nurses, staff and volunteers at the palliative care unit for their sensitive and caring treatment of Cheryl.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Nanaimo Hospice Society would be appreciated.
