She was our bright light, she was our rock, she was our confidant.
Cindi Forrester, 69, of Parksville, B.C., passed away on February 14, 2025.
Cindi was born July 31, 1955 in Kitimat, B.C., the first born to Rod and Joan Forrester. She moved with her family to Vancouver Island in 1976.
Predeceased by her parents, Rod and Joan Forrester, she leaves behind her 4 loving children Wayne, Chantell, Ricki (Michelle) and Candice (Dave). Grandchildren Koen, Brooklyn, Dylan, Anna, Jackson, Connor, Charlie, Ben and Emma. Sisters April (Steve), Jacquie (Mike), brother Charlie (Jan), nephew Josh, nieces Christina and Paige.
Cindi was a beautiful person inside and out with a warm, wonderful, giving spirit. She was the most unselfish person and always put everyone first before herself. If we ever needed advice about something, she was the one we would all go to.
She dedicated her life to raising her 4 children, whom she was so proud of - they were her life. She loved to be around family and friends, having fun with the music turned up and dancing up a storm. Cindi was in her happy place at a family summer BBQ on a warm sunny day or a holiday family dinner with all her kids and grandkids around her.
Though raising four children kept her very busy, she somehow found time to coach minor hockey, join the Port McNeil flying club and learned to fly, then later joined the North Island Search and Rescue Club as a spotter in the Buffalo, she really loved that.
We miss her terribly. We will always love her and she will always be in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 30th, 1:00 pm, Sands Funeral Chapel & Reception Centre, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo, B.C.
