After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Cindy passed away surrounded by her family, at the Palliative Care Unit at Nanaimo General Hospital.
Cindy lived in Kamloops, Victoria, Gabriola Island, Parksville and for the past six years, Bowser. In each community she touched many lives with her generous and caring nature. She loved life, had a passion for cooking, gardening and camping.
She leaves behind her husband Hans, who was her best friend and the love of her life. they spent many years in the outdoors developing their passion for fly fishing, which resulted in Cindy catching her first salmon on a fly rod.
She leaves behind three children; Wesley (Gigi), Daniel (Jeanne) and Michelle (Shane), several grandchildren, a special sister Cheryl (Hal) and brother Allen.
A Celebration of Life will be held at
Cindy and Hans’ home on Saturday, July 25, 2009
from 1:00pm to 4:00pm
