Passed away peacefully at home in Qualicum Beach on December 6, 2002

Born on November 28, 1925 in Brisbane, Australia, he immigrated to Canada in 1964. He was predeceased by Barbara, his wife of 40 years, in 1988. He is survived by his two sons, Peter, of Victoria, B.C. and David, of Qualicum Beach, B.C.; three grandsons David, John and Nathan of Victoria, B.C.; sister Muriel (Robert) Moore; and close friend and travelling companion, Edna Finlayson, of Australia. For 37 years, Colin was a school teacher, counselor and principal in Australia, Port Alberni, and Parksville. He was active in St. Stephen’s United Church, Comox-Nanaimo Presbytery, a member of Concord Lodge No. 79 A.F. & A.M., Royal Arch Masons of B.C. & Yukon, Cathedral Chapter #35, the Masonic and Military orders of the Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine, K.H.S. and St. John the Evangelist, Arbutus Conclave 40, Order of the Eastern Star, Arbutus Chapter No. 68, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and a member of the Monarchist League of Canada.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Colin’s life at St. Stephen’s United Church, 150 Village Way, Qualicum Beach, B.C. on Friday, December 13, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Phil Spencer officiating.
