Cornelius â??Curtâ? Henry Kroeker

Cornelius “Curt” Henry Kroeker, who lived a fantastic, happy life, died Monday, February 15. He had just celebrated his 90th birthday. Curt enjoyed the outdoors – hunting and fishing in his younger years and walking and berry picking in his later years. He is survived by his wife, Randi (Lie), who was his everything; his son, Tim, who was so lucky to have been loved so deeply and taught so wisely; his daughter-in-law, Sarah (Webb), who embraced his gentleness; his grandchildren, Naia and Sloan, who were glued to his side and lit up his life; and numerous extended family who admired his character and enjoyed his spirit. His family will miss this generous man who loved building and fixing things, but most of all, loved seeing children laugh and play. Predeceased by his siblings Johan, Henry, Katie (Santo), Gerhard, and Jacob, he and his family were born in Russia and immigrated, along with parents Henry and Margaret (Friesen), to Manitoba in 1924.

His family legacy has been passed on and he will live on in the hearts and smiles of his son and grandchildren. The family would like to thank all those who were a part of Curt’s final chapter of life, and allowed him to die peacefully and with dignity at home,

surrounded by those he loved.
