In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, Courtenay "Pop" Foster at the great age of 99. Dad was born and raised in Richmond, B.C. Even though he had a busy job running the Gulf Oil Barge in Steveston, he always had time to look after his family and take care of the family home and huge garden on Steveston Hwy.
He leaves behind his four daughters, Bonnie Lang (Bob), Betty Hedges (Bruce), Colleen Dahlquist (Brett), and Cindy Champagne (Ray), as well as Russell Anderson and Peggy Anderson (Bob), and many other nieces, nephews, grandchildren (eight) and great-grandchildren (seven).
Dad was predeceased by our Mom, Joyce in 2017, and by his brother Russell, sister Bernice, and his granddaughter Amber.
After leaving Richmond, Dad and Mom spent their last 40 years enjoying semi-retirement and then retirement in Qualicum Beach.
Many thanks to the staff at Stanford Seniors Village for the great care they gave him over the last 3 years and for the kindness and compassion they showed in his final days as he passed away peacefully in their care.
There will be a Celebration of Life on January 14th at St. Marks Anglican Church in Qualicum at 1:30 p.m.
