January 29, 1927 - July 31, 2020
Dale Roswell Davis, born on January 29, 1927, in Rouleau, Saskatchewan, died July 31, 2020 at Nanaimo Regional Hospital, due to complications after an unfortunate slip and fall.
Missing him dearly are: his devoted wife of nearly 70 years Theresa (nee McAllister), children Brenda (Jim), Preston (Emily), Nolan (Patty), Lynn (Richard), Rebecca (Dave), Regina (Jonathan), son in law Larry, 7 granddaughters, 11 grandsons, 15 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; sister Madilyn and brothers Eldon and Ken as well as countless nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
He was predeceased by daughter Laura, his parents Ray and Winona, three sisters Yvonne, Opal, Frances and his two brothers Rex and Grant.
Dale farmed many years in Saskatchewan before moving his family to Armstrong in 1967. Dale and Theresa ranched from 1977 to 1998 in Salmon Arm before moving to Vancouver Island, finally settling in Parksville.
Dale was a most hardworking, honest, and trustworthy man, who never met an engine he could not fix. We all miss his deep brown eyes and funny, shy chuckle.
Rest in Peace, Dad.
The family wishes to thank the team at the Palliative Care unit for their empathy and respectful care.
