It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, niece and friend, Darleen Betty MacDonald (nee Olfert). She was born December 6th, 1944 in Swiftcurrent, SK and passed away peacefully on the morning of October 11th, 2011 in Nanaimo, BC. She is survived by her daughters, Tracy (Dale), Kim (Kevin), and Darcy; her brother Harold (Celina), Aunt Florence; and six grandchildren, Amanda (Lon), Jordan, Braedan, Shane, Cheyenne and Mason. She leaves behind a void in the hearts and lives of everyone who knew her. She will be especially missed by her long time friend, confidante and traveling buddy Bonnie Franks of Campbell River, and by Gerry Poole of Parksville who shared many special memories with Darleen.
