Dave Wiener
September 2, 1944 – September 17, 2013
Dave passed away at his home in Nanoose Bay on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Doe; kids, Gill (Glenn), Val (Todd), Dave, Dan (Petra); grandkids, Nic, Dunc, Sebastian, Tristan, Lachlan, Kingston, Griffin, and Blake; siblings, Doug (Irene) and Elaine (Peter) from the UK; Mam, Margaret from the UK; and his faithful four legged friend and companion, Dee. Dave was predeceased by his dad, Edward Wiener.
Dave and Doe met in Junior High School fast becoming high school sweethearts, growing up together, best friends, and soul mates. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 7th, 2013.
Before moving to Nanoose Bay in 1982 with their four kids, Dave and Doe operated a well known Boarding Kennels and Stables in the UK and had interests in many other small business operations. Upon arriving in Nanoose, Dave and Doe setup their home and started a plumbing business. After being injured in a car accident in 1991, Dave ventured into the world of real estate.
He loved to travel and spend time with his family. Always up for a good laugh, Dave provided those who knew and loved him many heart felt memories.
The family would like to thank Parksville Homecare Team, especially Paula; the staff at Simple Shoppers, Dr Brad Bell and staff; GF Strong ALS team, and last but not least, Fran and Betsy . . . . “The Entertainers”.
