Debbie Gail Thompson

Debbie grew up in Gordon Head in Victoria and passed away peacefully in the presence of her family after a short battle with lung cancer.
While working as a waitress at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Victoria, Debbie fell in love with cook Bruce Thompson, who became her husband of 35 years. The two raised their family in Nanoose Bay, and her work as an EA touched the lives and hearts of countless children and families in Parksville.
Generous, patient, and talented, Debbie loved quilting, sewing, and gardening. Her laughter and cheeky humour will be deeply missed by husband Bruce, children Jennifer (Ryan) and Christopher, grandson Austin, dog Tanner, and friends throughout Shawnigan Lake, Parksville, and Victoria.
A celebration of life for Debbie will be held at Parksville Community Centre (132 Jenson Ave E) on Saturday, Jan 30th at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to the Parksville SPCA
