1928 – 2011

We sadly said goodbye to Denn on May 5, 2011 at the Eagle Park Health

Lodge in Qualicum Beach at the age of 83. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Kenda, sister Joan, children Duncan, Wesley (Janis) and Dale (Mario), Grandchildren Mitchell, Evan, Brady, Krista, Carlo and Curtis, and great grandchildren Bella and Madison.

Denn was born in Verdun, Que. and transferred to Edmonton in 1968 and then transferred to Vancouver in 1971. Upon retiring in 1993 from Reimer Express, Denn and Kenda moved to Parksville, where Denn had the opportunity to pursue his interests with a passion. Golf, fly fishing and painting nature were some of his many interests. The summers with Kenda at their trailer in Campbell River was his nirvana. He loved being in ‘God’s Country’ and enjoying the natural beauty of the outdoors. He always shared these times and activities with his wife, which made these hobbies even more precious. Denn loved his friends and had a way of making people comfortable and always tried to bring a smile to their face. He always made time for volunteering and spending his time on committees at such places as Black Mountain Ranch or Eaglecrest Golf Course.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all the people he touched but he will never be forgotten and will forever live in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the B.C. Cancer Foundation in Denn’s memory.

Thank you dad for leading by example.
