Donald (Don) Emery Ford
Born in New Brunswick
October 8, 1939 – August 10, 2015
Don left behind his wife Jan (nee Bray) of 43 years, as he passed away in his sleep at home, with Jan holding his hand, after a short battle with cancer. He left behind his son Rick and daughter Dawn plus his five siblings and grandchildren.
Don and Jan have lived in Qualicum for two years coming west from Newmarket area in Ontario. He worked with Gulf Oil/Petro Canada for 32 years.
He loved the wonderful people he met through the Newcomers Club of Qualicum. His gentle smile, chuckle, and sincere personality will be missed by fishing, walking, and wine tasting buddies.
Don was very close with his sister-in-law Rosslyn
(Bray) and husband, Bill Whitehead, and his
brothers-in-law, Steve and Bernie Bray. His beloved dog, Woody, is sadly still looking for his walking partner.
Don is fishing now and catching the big ones.
We know you are looking down on us and
chuckling softly.
We hold you close in our hearts.
A Celebration of Don’s life will be held on
August 21st from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at
1109 Spoon Close, Eaglecrest, Qualicum.
