Donald Gordon May born September 16, 1941 passed away peacefully in his home
Friday August 4th. Don brought his family to Qualicum Beach in 1974 where he started Don May Construction. He leaves his legacy in this town of homes and commercial buildings that will last many lifetimes. He is survived by his wife Brenda, their children Ron (Evangeline) and Deanne (Rob) and their grandson Kyle (Sarah) and Derek (Meryl) and his great grandson Nathan.
Don served in the local fire department for over 15 years. He spent endless hours coaching two generations of baseball teams and trained many fine carpenters, including his Grandson Derek who has taken over his company.
He was tough, he was fair and he would go out of his way to help people
In respect of his wishes there will be no service and rather than flowers or donations Don asked that friends take that time and money and spend it with your family and loved ones.
