Doreen Wilson

Doreen passed away on April 4th at home in her sleep at the age of 82. Up until that evening when she went to bed, she was a happy, energetic, active woman, full of life who enjoyed hiking, dancing, gardening, and volunteering at the Parksville Legion as Service Officer.

Born in Toronto, she grew up in Lloydtown, Ottawa and Lakeview, ON, and later moved from her home in Haliburton, ON to Parksville with her husband, Rex (predeceased) for their retirement. She loved BC and enjoyed a happy, healthy retirement. She was very active in the community and will be missed by many.

Doreen is survived by her children, Kirk Potter of Silver City, New Mexico, Dean Potter of Peterborough, ON and Lee Reynolds of Trent Lakes, ON.

There will be an afternoon tea held for family and friends at the Parksville Legion, Branch #49 on Sunday, June 12 at 1 PM in her memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Branch #49 Royal Canadian Legion, Parksville, BC – Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
