In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Joyce Westra. Born in a hospital in Nanaimo and raised in Qualicum, Joyce lived most of her life in her grandparent's home in Hilliers. And then came full circle and died in a hospital in Nanaimo after a short battle with cancer.
Joyce left the world peacefully to be with her loving husband, Karel Westra. All those who knew Joyce are invited to give donations to the BC Cancer Agency in her name.
A kind and generous soul, she is survived by her children, Caroline and John, and by her sisters, Beverley Morin and Shirley Tattingham.
A celebration of life will be held at Grace United Church in Coombs on Saturday, September 24 at 2pm.
