Peacefully at home at the age of 79. Dorothy is predeceased by sister Irene and partner Gilles. She is survived by daughters Kathleen (Victor), Linda (Tom), and Susan (Rick), grandchildren Ryan, Justin, Kiva, Hannah, Connor, and Kendra, nieces Diane and Carol and nephew Stephen.
Dorothy’s early years were spent in the great outdoors of Ontario and fostered a lifelong love of wilderness and gardening. Her many emails and letters demonstrated her love of nature and her sense of humour. She will be truly missed by her correspondents, friends and family.
A memorial service and celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday March 17 at Yates Funeral Home, 1000 Allsbrook Rd.,Parksville.
