Dorothy was born on May 30, 1912 to Herbert and Effie Chaytor of Vancouver.

She attended Columbia College, and then went to work at Vancouver City Hall.

She married George Walker Blewett on April 25, 1936 and moved to “Camp 6” now known as Caycuse. She gave birth to her son, Gordon Edward on March 30, 1937, and her daughter Maybelle Alice on June 12, 1940.

Early July 1945 George relocated to the mill at Honeymoon Bay and the family followed. In 1962 after George retired they moved to Nanoose Bay.

Her son Gordon predeceased her April 17, 1972 and her husband George predeceased her August 19, 1980. She moved to Victoria in 1989, and into the “Renaissance’ in February 2001, where she resided until she passed on:

She leaves her daughter Maybelle, and granddaughters Donna and Catherine and family and her son’s daughters Lisa and Billi-Jo and families, and 4 nephews.
