BERKELEY, Dr. James Alfred
December 5, 1921 - January 7, 2007.
Jim passed away peacefully on January 7, 2007 following a brief illness. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary, of 42 years. Jim is survived by seven children: Sandy (Karen) of Victoria, Judy of Courtenay, Susan (Bob) of Crescent Beach, Ian of Delta, Bob (Veronica) of Red Deer, Tom of Vancouver, Bill of Victoria. As well Jim is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his brother Ken Berkeley of Cambridge, Ontario.
Jim received his medical degree from Queen’s University and then headed west to open his practice in Port Moody, BC. Jim and Mary moved to Qualicum Beach in the late 70’s, where Jim continued to do locums for 20 years. Jim retired on the very day he had practiced medicine for 50 years - one of his proudest accomplishments. Jim will be missed by family and friends.
No funeral by request
For family & friends there will be a private celebration of Jim’s life.
