John Walter Bell passed away on April 30, 2006 in Parksville at the age of 91 ears. John will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Dorothy; his nephews, Peter (Marion) Bell of Courtenay and their daughters, Shirley and Diana; David Creeth and his children: Barton and Jennifer of California and Jim (Rose) Creeth also of California; sister-in-law, Margurette Lee of Victoria and her son, Bob (Judy) Smith of Barrhead, Alberta, as well as his special friends: Dr. Terrance Knight, Nell and Frank Bergunder of Parksville.

John’s many cousins and friends will miss his kind manner and positive outlook on life.

John was born in Shoal Lake, Manitoba on June 15, 1914 and moved to Victoria with his parents; brother, Alex and sisters, Agnes and Margaret, the following year. He graduated from the Palmer School of Chiropractic in 1938. He began his career in Vancouver and returned to Victoria where he continued his lifelong passion of helping people through chiropractics until his retirement at age 70 in 1984. John and Dorothy later moved to Parksville where they enjoyed their home, garden, travel, family, neighbors and friends.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Trillium Lodge in Parksville or their loving care and kindness to John and Dorothy and to Dr. Graham White for his support.

John was an inspiration to all; He dedicated his life to helping others.
