It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Perry, a truly kind and gentle soul, at The Gardens in Qualicum Beach. Perry will be deeply missed by his wife of 66 years, Ann; their children, Lawrence (Linda), Bill (Deb), and Janice; two grandchildren, Bethany (Dustin) and Graeme; and two great grandchildren, Peyton and Austin. Perry earned his PhD from Northwestern University, had a long and successful career as an Exploration Research Geologist with Imperial Oil in Calgary and was coeditor of The Geological History of Western Canada. Active his entire life, Perry loved to hike, fly fish, garden, cross country ski, snorkel and woodwork. He also took every opportunity possible to explore the world with friends and family. Respecting Perry's wishes, no services will be held, however he would take great pleasure if his friends would fill their glass and present a toast to a wonderful life full of friendships, travel and adventure.
A private family gathering will be planned for a future date.
