Dr Wiegand Abe DYCK

January 27, 1928 – October 28, 2015

Dr. Wiegand Abe Dyck passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Julie; daughters, Wendy and Tina; son, Wiegand; their spouses and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wiegand was born in Watrous, Saskatchewan January 27, 1928. He had an inquiring mind, loved learning and highly valued education. Wiegand obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Alberta, followed by a Certificate in Intravenous Sedation. While practicing dentistry he completed his doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, became a Master Graphoanalysis Expert, and obtained a Certificate in Amateur Radio.

His spare time activities included painting and making frames for his pictures which adorn our walls. Wiegand was a lover of music and played both the piano and the guitar. He loved music so much he built numerous guitars and played them often.

We’d love you to join us for a Celebration of Wiegand’s life at Yates Funeral Chapel,1000 Allsbrook Road in Parksville, at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 9th.

In lieu of flowers, we’d prefer you give a donation to the Parksville SPCA , PO Box 1407, Parksville, BC V9P 2H3. Your generosity will be appreciated by the animals that will be helped by your donation. Thank you so much.
