December 23, 1932 - January 31, 2020
In my heart your memory lingers, always tender, fond and true; There is not a day, dear mother I do not think of you.
Edith Eva Springer (nee Timoruski), age 87 passed peacefully on Jan 31, 2020 in Nanaimo, British Columbia. She is survived by her daughter Valerie Hobbs (David) and her two grandsons Malcolm and Liam.
Edith was born on December 23, 1932 in Springside, Saskatchewan to parents Eva and Mike Timoruski. She was a loving sibling to three sisters and two brothers and grew up in the farmland of Saskatchewan. She left the farm in her late teens and started her adventurous life. First heading east to Manitoba before turning west and finally settling on the west coast. It was in Vancouver that she met her husband, Melvin.
Together they moved to Vancouver Island where she spent 46 years.
Edith took on every challenge in her life with courage and strength but most importantly with a sense of humour and a smile. Her great passion in life was her family. In her later years she poured that love and devotion into her grandsons.
