Edmond Rochon

Feb. 18, 1953 – May 2, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Ed. Beloved husband to Susan for 38 years; wonderful Dad to Kevin and Jennifer (Brenden) Galloway; and the most amazing Grandpa (AMPA!) to Rhiley, Gus, and Piper.

Also survived by in-laws Cliff and Janet Browne; brothers, Denis (Bonnie), Robert (Trudy); sisters-in-law Lyn Browne (Brian), Nancy (Rob) Kernachan, and brother-in-law Patrick (Jennette) Browne; dearest and closest friends David and Margaret Sandulo, along with many nieces and nephews he so enjoyed.

His family was all he needed in life to make him happy. He was so proud of his kids and no visit was often enough or long enough. His passion for camping and fishing was something he so looked forward to sharing with “his little bugs”.

Ed was born in Vancouver but moved to Chemainus at the age of 5. It was there he met and married Susan in 1975. Love at first sight for sure for both. In 1989 Ed, Susan, and the kids moved to Qualicum Beach. In 1992, Ed started work for the Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Club and worked there as a greens keeper until his death.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 11th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Club.
