ELLIOTT, Edward Mackenzie

Born in Smithers, BC on June 28, 1977 Edward was lost when the Rutherford Creek Bridge collapsed near Pemberton on October 18, 2003.

Ed is survived by his father Gordon (Lois), and mother Judy (Reed Fraser), sister Pamela, special love Kylie Morris, grandmothers Joyce Elliott and Margaret Heath, aunt and uncles Kathryn Elliott and Brian Carr, Gordon Health and Don Murray, and cousins Michael and Sarah Carr.

Edward was a manager in Moe Joe’s bar in Whistler, BC where his handshake was legendary and he had many good friends. A world traveller, Edward was fluent in English and French and was working on Spanish and Portuguese. He enjoyed many outdoor and team sports: lacrosse, softball, hiking, hockey, snowboarding. He was an avid reader and was teaching himself to paint; a man of many talents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Knox United Church in Parksville, BC on December 15, 2003 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward’s name may be made to the Pemberton Search and Rescue, c/o Rotary Club of Parksville A.M., #30 - 826 W. Island Hwy, Parksville, BC V9P 2B7.
