It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Edward "Peachy" Keen, on Wednesday May 6th, 2020.
Ed retired as a Battalion Chief with the Vancouver Fire Department, after 33 years of service and thus dedicated his entire professional life to saving lives and helping others. This was his nature, a giving soul.
Ed is predeceased by his wife Dorothy (2016) and is survived by three sons, Mark, Brett and Craig; as well as daughters in-law Terry and Lydia; and grandsons, Mathew, Jordan, and Sam.
He is also survived by his sisters Audrey & Shirley.
Ed will be dearly missed by his family and extended network of friends. He will be fondly remembered as a dedicated husband and father, kind and chivalrous to the end.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Ed's honour at 11 am on June 27th, 2020 at Yates Funeral Chapel, 1000 Allsbrook Road in Parksville. In lieu of flowers, please consider honouring Ed's memory by making a donation in his name to the BC SPCA Parksville-Qualicum Beach & District Branch,
