Edward (Steve) Stevenson

Born 1923, passed away of Cancer December 23rd, 2010. With his former wife, still his best friend (so Steve said) Enid by his side. Steve was born in Bristol England, served in the Royal Navy as a Submariner, and as well an assistant Fire Chief in London. When he came to Canada he spent sometime in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Ontario, later moved to Alberta and then B.C. doing a variety of jobs. He was predeceased by two wives, Audrey, the mother of his 5 sons and Eliane and her family. One son predeceased Steve, but he still has Peter, Paul, Tim and Ken. Two daughters-in-law, Pat and Sherry, and 3 grandchildren.

Steve moved to Qualicum in the late 90’s and for several years lived at the Village Green Estates on Village Way. He was very happy there. Steve was also a member of the Qualicum Legion. Thanks are given to Dawn, the manageress and Billy and Duke. Thanks also to his next door neighbor Mary. Special thanks to Doctor R. Henderson for all his care and compassion, the home care nurses and his church families, St. Stephens United, Qualicum and the Catholic Church of the Ascension.

No memorial service held at Steves’ request.
