Jun 17, 1926 - Jan 23, 2018
Eileen grew up in York, England. She served in the British Navy (Codes and Ciphers) in World War Two. She met her future husband Bill Kozak, who was stationed in York with the RCAF, at a Valentine's Day dance in the de Grey Rooms. They were married June 16, 1945. Eileen followed her husband over to Canada along with other war brides in 1946.

Bill made the RCAF his career, serving in many locations including Trenton, North Luffenham (England), 4 Wing (Germany), 1 Wing (France), Comox BC, and Chatham NB. They retired in 1975, making their home in Nanoose Bay, BC. When Bill died in 1989, Eileen moved to Parksville. In February 2016 Eileen moved to Stanford Senior Centre.

Eileen was a loans officer at the Credit Union Parksville Branch, and later became the first manager of the Credit Union Nanoose Branch. She made many friends because of her kind and loving nature, always willing to help in any way she could, at work, in the community, and in the churches she attended, especially Grace Church in Coombs which she attended for the last 7 years of her life.

Eileen is survived by her son Rick, her daughter Sher (Garth) Morison, granddaughter Heather Wiens (Eric Piepers), and great granddaughter Danielle Wiens. She leaves behind dear cousins in Edinburgh and Malaga, Spain. Her only brother, Donald Mathieson, predeceased her in 2016 in New Zealand.

She is remembered by her sister-in-law Sheila, and her niece Anne and nephew Paul, and great-nieces Renee, Gemma and Brogan, and great-nephew David.

Our family extends our profound thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at Stanford Seniors Village Bayview.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Grace United Church in Coombs, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or another organization of your choice.

A memorial service will be held in the Fireside Room at Christian Fellowship Centre, 825 Village Way, Qualicum Beach BC, Saturday February 3, 2018 at 2 PM.
