It is with deep sadness that the family of Eileen Iwaskow announce her passing on Friday, February 19, 2021. She was 78 years old. Eileen lived a full and well-travelled life. She was born in Banff, Scotland, November 23, 1942. She immigrated to Canada in 1951 at the age of 9. She sailed from England on the RMS Scythia arriving in Montreal with her father, step-mother, older brother Billy and younger brother Peter.
Eileen is predeceased by her parents William and Helen, step-mother Beatrice, Grandmother Christina and Grandfather John, brother-in-law Wayne, sister-in-law Linda, and her cousin Elizabeth.
Eileen will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her loving and devoted husband Alf of 48 years, the love of her life; daughters Barb (Paul), Brenda (Scott); grandchildren Emma and Jamie, Taylor (Morgan) and Drew, and great-granddaughter Mirra; brother Peter (Sandy) and nephews Andrew and Alexander; sister-in-laws Joyce (Walter), Elaine (Ray) and Carol, brother-in-law Ray; numerous nieces and nephews, and her cousin Doddie and his family in Scotland.
She was so grateful for the opportunity to travel home and reconnect with her family and birthplace. A trip that she spoke of often.

Eileen was a very genuine person with a kind and loving heart. She loved going out for lunch with friends, reading, quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Eileen held her family dear to her heart and had a special place for her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She loved them dearly. Her smile was always the brightest when with those she loved! Eileen will be cherished with memories of her generous spirit, quick wit, and love of family, friends and home. She will be forever remembered and greatly missed by those lucky enough to have known her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
