Eileen (Banford) Waddell passed away at the Palliative Care Centre, Nanaimo District Regional Hospital on March 1, 2019. Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Kenneth, and grandson, Jarred Loudoun, Victoria, she is survived by her daughter Brenna Loudoun (Lloyd Coates), Airdrie, AB and son Bruce (Kim), Yorkton, SK, one grandson Jason Waddell (Medicine Hat, AB), four great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Eileen was born in Eastend, SK.

Eileen married Kenneth Waddell in 1950 and they resided in Weyburn, SK until they moved to Parksville in 1989 to enjoy their retirement.

Eileen enjoyed being outdoors to see the sunrises and sunsets, autumn colours, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, water skiing, swimming, golf and spending time with friends at Kenosee Lake. She also liked sewing, knitting, embroidery and singing. Eileen sang in choirs in Regina and Weyburn. She had been a member of the Kinette Club, the K-ettes, the Weyburn Agricultural Society, the Weyburn Light Horse Committee and also volunteered as a helper for the Weyburn Senior Citizens program.

She loved working with horses and entered many Anglo-Arab horse shows and won many prizes and awards. While living in Parksville she had done volunteer work for the Errington Therapeutic Riding Assoc.
