Elaine Lois Turner (nee Schmitz)
Born June 14, 1951
On November 2, 2014, Elaine Lois Turner (nee Schmitz) bravely lost her battle with a long-standing lung disease.
Elaine will be remembered for her zest for life and loyalty to those she loved. She will be revered for her dedicated career in healthcare spanning more than 25 years. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Elaine had a love for the ocean and called the Island “home” all her life. She will be sadly missed by those whose lives she touched in care or kindness.
Surviving her with great loss are her two daughters, Lisa (Jamie), Tina (Cam); her two precious grandsons, Cody and Riley; her brother Doug (Pat) dear ‘Sister’ Gerry (Paul), nephew Kevin (Emily) and her loving extended family of Schmitz’s.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday November 12, 2014 at the Church of Ascension located at 887 Wembley Road, Parkville, BC. A tea hosted by the Catholic
Women’s League will follow the service.
