ELAINE MARIE RUMOHR (NELSON)
August 9th, 1924- April 13th, 2015
Elaine was born on August 9th, 1924 in Standard, Alberta.
Predeceased by her husband Hugh in 2012, with whom she enjoyed over 65 years of marriage, and by her sister Alma, last year.
Elaine is survived by her son Kim (Gina), daughter Erin (Stephen), grandchildren Kji (Dianne), Jason (Jacquelyn), Dawn (Rob) and great grandchildren Kaitlyn and James.
Elaine started her working career as a teacher before joining the army. After the war, Hugh and Elaine married and owned a motel in Calgary for many years before moving to Qualicum Beach. Elaine was also involved in the business of the family farms. She especially enjoyed swimming in the ocean, watching and playing golf and entertaining her grandchildren. Elaine was philosophical, a lover of nature and was an avid reader. She had a keen sense of humour that she kept to the end.
She will be dearly missed.
