October 13, 1918 – March 17, 2006.
Elisabeth Rhys-Jones, our darling Crumpie, is now at peace. Born in Jette Sans Pierre, Belgium, Crumpie settled in Victoria in her teens where she excelled at golf and was an avid competitor playing in the Pacific Northwest, winning many tournaments. A keen gardener, Crumpie generously shared her knowledge and never let damp/foggy days keep her indoors. Her stubborn personality endeared her to all. She will be sadly missed.
Predeceased by her husband Derek. Survived by daughter Liz Waring (Garry), Granddaughter Nicky Boyle and her children Dionne and Drew, Grandson Tim Waring (Jody) and their daughter Hannah.
Our family gives a heartfelt thanks to those at Qualicum Manor for their genuine affection for and sincere caring of Elisabeth.
At Elisabeth’s wish, there will be no service, rather a happy gathering for family and friends will take place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation.
