Emma Pesek (nee Bier)

November 4, 2006

PESEK (nee Bier), Emma

“The sun is fading away, that’s the end of the day. Don’t hide the tears that don’t show. I’ll be on my way . . . to where the winds don’t blow and golden rivers flow. This way will I go . . .” (Beatles)

Born March 1, 1931 in Romania. Passed away on November 4, 2006 in Mission, B.C. with her loving family by her side. Predeceased by her father Andrew Andreaus (Andrew), mother Louisa, step-mother Berta and husband Frank (2005). Survived by her brothers Ewald and Eric and her loving children Christa, Henry (Piper), Marlena (Mike), Mike (Jacqui), Mark, Matthew (Laura), Francy (Armando), and Raymond, her loving grandchildren Jennifer, Melanie, Brandie (John), Marlena, Sara, Darsey, Andrew, Melissa, Annastacia, Alexandra, Julia, Gabrielle, Olivia, Danielle and great grandchild Shawn. Mom met Dad when he was stationed in Germany and they immigrated to Canada in 1955; early years were spent in southern Alberta (Coaldale/Lethbridge), moving to Parksville (French Creek) in 1982 where she took up the game of golf. Mom lived for her children and was proud of each of them.

“Let children walk with Nature, let them see the beautiful blendings and communions of death and life, their joyous inseparable unity, as taught in woods and meadows, plains and mountains and streams of our blessed star, and they will learn that death is as beautiful as life.”

Mom was not a judgmental person and Mother Teresa’s quote best sums up her philosophy in life: “If you judge people, you have no time to love them.”

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 25 at 11:00 A.M. at 30146 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to a local charity of your choice for underprivileged children would be appreciated.
