ADAMS, Ernest (John)
Passed away peacefully at home in Parksville
aged 82 years on August 28, 2002 after a brief battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his first wife (Babs) in 1977. John will be lovingly missed by his daughter Janice (Brian) in Parksville and son John in Surrey; 3 grandchildren, Jason, Nicole and Brandon and 5 great grandchildren; one brother Henry (Min) and family in Australia; second wife Gre (Margaret) Reinders; extended family, Gerry (Pat), John, Martin (Nancy), Lucy (Colin) and Henry (Tammy); 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. John served as RAF flight and ground crew from 1939 to 1945 in W.W. II. John, Babs and children immigrated to Richmond, BC, Canada in 1957. He worked for BC Transit until he retired at age 60. John was a past Treasurer of the British Ex-Serviceman’s Club in Vancouver. John and Gre enjoyed many years travelling as snowbirds in the USA and Australia and they moved to Parksville, BC in 1993. John was a member of the Parksville Legion. His family would like to thank Dr. John Hancock, the Community Nurses and the Homecare Team for their warmth, care, support and advice.
A Celebration of Life was held at John and Gre’s home in Columbia Beach on Monday, September 2, 2002
