FROST, Ernest Alfred (“Flip”)

of Parksville, B.C., passed away on October 30, 2002

at the age of 79 years.

Survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Ellen; one sister Jean Vince and her children in England; 2 nephews Bob (Cecile) Gardner and their children of North Vancouver, BC, and Mel (Lyn) Gardner and their children of Lister, BC; one niece Marilyn Jenkins and her children of Vancouver, BC.

“Flip” was a member of the International Brotherhood of Carpenters and served in the Merchant Marines as a carpenter. He lived in the Vancouver area for many years until his retirement in 1980 at which time he, and wife Ellen, moved to Mayne Island and later to Parksville in 1993. He had a wonderful sense of humour and loved a good joke. He will be remembered for his favourite comment: “Frost by name - not by nature.”

A Service of Remembrance was held on Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Baptist Church, 870 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver, BC with Reverend John Hardy officiating.
