Ethel Louise Garrett

Ethel Louise Garrett (nee Clement, nee Jackson) passed away on October 20, 2016 in her 95th year, at Trillium Lodge, Parksville, B.C. with family at her side.

She is survived by sons Frank (Gail), Ron (Joan), and daughter Bonnie (George) Luterbach; step children: Jack (Louise) Garrett, Tennys (Pat) Towey, Mhairi Garret (Harvey Olson); twelve Grandchildren; eleven Great grandchildren; eight Great great-grandchildren; and seven Nieces and nephews.

Ethel was predeceased by her mother and father Harry and Estella Jackson, first husband Rod Clement, brother Ralph and Alice Jackson, husband Richard Garrett, and in laws.

Ethel enjoyed the company of her many friends, loved a good game of bridge, cribbage or golf, to paint, read and travel, followed fashion trends and loved to watch a movie or have a great political debate. Determined, interested in and protective of her family, devoted to employees and their families, a wonderful hostess and visitor with all who called, the flashing sparkle of her blue eyes - these things will be remembered and cherished.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Trillium Lodge for the care they gave Ethel over the past three years.

While funeral services will be held in Russell Manitoba,

a memorial tea will be held Wednesday, November 9, 1-3pm at the

Qualicum Beach Civic Centre, 747 Jones Street.
